Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is located in the Santa Cruz Mountains and is most famous for the 40-acre grove of towering old-growth redwood trees. Its historical significance and spectacular scenery draw travelers from around the world. Visitors can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, picnicking, swimming, and camping on more than 4,650 acres of forested and open land.

The trail is a 0.8mi loop, and is fairly wide throughout with no elevation gain and almost completely flat tracks. The trail head is right at the edge of the parking lot making it very accessible. Volunteers and CA State Park employees are always available around to help with any questions you might have.

Don’t miss out on the Visitor Center (also right by the parking lot), they’re very popular for their ice cream.
