Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the most amazing wonders in Croatia. This is famous for its exotic hikes and impressive waterfalls. There are 16 lakes, waterfalls, and lakeside walkways in a forest setting. The boardwalk is across the middle of the lake and you can see the waterfall up close and feel the pristine atmosphere around. This is a UNESCO Heritage sight.
Though it’s a beautiful place but not all the falls and boardwalks are wheelchair accessible. For a wheelchair-friendly trip to Plitvice, driving is the best option. There are two entrances to this park: Entrance 1 and Entrance 2.
Entrance 1 – Here you have access to the viewing area of the Veliki Slap waterfall. It also has access to Lower Lakes Canyon, Novakovića Brod Lake, Kaluđerovac Lake, Gavanovac Lake, and Milanovac Lake, Kozjački Mostov. Tickets are sold out fast in Entrance 1 during Peak Season
Entrance 2 – Fewer people enter from this entrance. The probability of getting tickets is higher in Entrance 2. This Entrance takes you to the lower levels of the falls up close. This path is very difficult for wheelchair users.
