San Francisco’s holiday lights are always a delight to experience, and this year marks the last time Macy’s will be presenting the Union Square Christmas tree. We recently visited the city to enjoy its festive decorations, including the impressive Christmas trees at Union Square and Neiman Marcus. Macy’s is adorned with beautiful holiday décor, while Pier 39 features a musical Christmas tree that plays synchronized light-and-sound shows every half hour.
At the Fairmont San Francisco, there’s a unique holiday gingerbread house that’s not to be missed. Additionally, you can drive through the city to explore its dazzling holiday glow at several locations:
• 101 California Street
• Annie Alley
• The Ferry Building
• One Bush Plaza
• Pacific Coast Stock Exchange
• Salesforce Tower
• PG&E Substation
Wheelchair Accessibility
All these locations are wheelchair accessible. For parking:
• Union Square has accessible parking spots available.
• Pier 39 offers accessible parking across the street.
• At the Fairmont Hotel, you can briefly park at the curb across the street for convenience.
On your way back, consider making a quick stop at Treasure Island to enjoy the breathtaking city skyline, beautifully lit up for the holidays.
Enjoy the magical illuminations around the city!
